Role description:

As a People Business Partner, you will establish trusted and influential relationships with the Mobility and Resilience management teams in order to deliver strategic people priorities. You will partner with leaders in your business area to develop and implement people initiatives and programs that support the delivery of the business strategy and the overall performance of the business.

You will closely collaborate with your Belgian counterparts to support the delivery of the total employee experience in Belgium. You will support the People Director to build an inclusive high performing organization, in line with the strategic people and culture direction.

Role accountabilities:
  • You will advise, challenge and support the Mobility and Resilience management teams on workforce performance, providing guidance and coaching in the areas of talent, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and change management.
  • You will work closely with Senior Managers, Business Partners, Centre of Excellence (COE) and People Services colleagues to deliver people priorities that align with the experience we want to create for our people. You will support the People Director in the strategic design and delivery of related People function policies, processes, and programs.
  • You will assist in the execution of strategic workforce planning across the Mobility and Resilience business areas. You will participate in selection and promotion decisions to ensure that people enhance diversity of thought and have the necessary skills and understanding to deliver the team’s objective. You will plan, forecast, coordinate and broker people and culture activities for business managers.
  • Being a strategic ‘barometer’, you will challenge managers on agreed strategic organizational and capability issues that contribute to the growth and competitiveness of the Mobility and Resilience business. You will proactively bring business needs and insights to the People team and People insights to the business, to drive innovation and make data driven people decisions.
  • You will become an effectiveness and transformation leader, facilitating discussions around change and transition. You will work to improve the effectiveness of people metrics in the Mobility and Resilience business areas, aiming to increase retention and engagement. You will support to deliver all annual People processes that are in place, such as performance and reward programs, talent reviews and salary reviews in collaboration with People services and COE leads.
  • You will act as a leadership talent coach, providing development for Mobility and Resilience managers on how to facilitate team reviews, goal setting, measuring results and how to conduct regular people-centric conversations.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • You have an academic degree, preferably in HR, and your extensive experience in business partnering roles allows you to understand the complexity of executing people strategy. You have a proven track record in driving change and transformation, preferably in a project-oriented and international environment where you need to balance global and local needs.
  • You have good knowledge of all major components of People related functions, employee/labour relations, management of change, Diversity and Inclusion, compensation, benefits and talent development.
  • You demonstrate an agile attitude, business acumen, financial insight and operations knowledge with a focus on business outcomes. You act with integrity, impartiality and independence.
  • You can make quick, sound decisions based on knowledge and judgement.
  • You have gained high level communication skills and strong consulting and presentation skills, with the ability to move between listening to, guiding and coaching others.
  • You are familiar with stakeholder management and you have the maturity to deal with senior business managers.
  • You have a proven ability to independently use Microsoft programs (Teams, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, One drive, …) as well as to use data analytics to align HR solutions with business imperatives.
  • You are a fluent Dutch speaking professional with strong written and verbal communication abilities in English and a solid knowledge of French.
