What type of breed are we looking for? ????

We’re looking for a motivated Product Designer to create elegant solutions for our customer’s problems and further define our platform and design system. You’ll have creative freedom and work hand-in-hand with our PM and in-house Engineering team to deliver best-in-class digital products. You should be user-obsessed and detail-oriented with an appetite for understanding technology and everything that makes for engaging eCommerce experiences.

What skills & tricks should you bring?

• 3+ years of experience designing, building and shipping product(s). Experience in e-commerce is a plus.
• Experience with design systems and delivering production-ready assets for development.
• An eye for detail within a lean, ship fast environment.
• Structure and facilitate ideation workshops.
• You think in user flows and customer journeys.
• Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methods of user research to validate ideas and make informed design decisions.
• Proficient with Figma and Adobe CC.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive web.
• Understand the array of technical constraints, user goals, and business requirements that shape a product.
• Communicate effectively and work together with a variety of people.
• Fluent in English, verbally and written.

What will be in your bowl?

• Be an integral part of the Digital Product Squad, working closely together with the PM, Engineers and other colleagues working in a cross-functional and distributed team.
• Work on our key digital products (Subscription, Loyalty Program, Product Quiz, …) as well as iterating on the overall e-commerce experience on edgardcooper.com.
• Build an understanding of our customers to nurture product thinking and transform insights into actionable opportunities.
• Be actively involved in defining the customers’ and the business’ problems.
• Research and bring forward new findings and learnings for reaching complex company goals - such as launching a new product.
• Lead the design process from product discovery to delivery.
• Present your work to the team by using well-crafted deliverables
• Create and own our digital design system in alignment with brand to deliver a UI consistent with our brand.
• Conduct user research through user interviews and usability testing.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
• Work on very broadly defined, loose concepts, and sometimes on narrowly defined, tactical deliverables.
