The Product Flow Specialist is a global role across the entire vaccines network with multiple stakeholders both in GVSC (E2E planners, Central Planners, CS, VDCC) and in GIO (production sites, QC, QA,). The main purpose of the role is to guarantee the final container availability for the Pack Schedule, so it can be executed as planned and to ensure when allocating FC to pack order all release steps can be performed in time for timely supply.
The Key elements of a Product Flow Manager:
- The Product Flow Specialist ensures pack sites have sufficient final containers (FC) available in the correct volume and quality status at the right time so pack sites can deliver their production plan. The Product flow specialist is covering the FC requiring physical transfers between filling and pack sites. Factories covering both filling and pack activities on the same site continue to ensure with their internal resources the feasibility of the packaging plan.
- Thanks to a deep process and product knowledge, in planning, manufacturing and release processes (QC, QA, eCC etc.), the Product flow specialist is responsible for anticipating, managing, and solving issues which might have an impact on the future packaging plans. When required, he/she needs to escalate effectively the non-solved issues or major issues impacting supply to the Weekly Supply Meeting.
- The Product flow specialists ensure that the FC allocated to pack is the best choice from a supply point of view by verifying previous production steps can be released in line with supply timelines and if not they remain the best possible choice.
- Conduct weekly volume check of filling inventory projections vs needs in the different pack plans
- Create and update relevant stock transfer order for inter-site shipments and ensure communication with Vaccines Distribution Department
- Drive release execution to meet site expectations
- Drive product flow release follow up with various stakeholders to ensure FC availability for packaging plans.
- Ensure correct prioritisation in the distribution area considering pack site requirements and customer needs.
- Ensure final container availability to allow optimal use of pack capacity
- Identify bottlenecks or execution hiccups and take relevant actions to solve them
- Analyse/Manage/Communicate effectively supply impact of short term issues and offer solutions to solve them
- Implement identified continuous improvements ideas leading to processes simplification
- Ensure procedure creation & updates related to process improvements & business requirements
- Understand the release process (QC / QA) to be able to ensure follow-up of FC availability for pack sites
- Follow-up CTS and Plan Stability performance for pack sites
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- University degree in economics, business, logistics or Supply Chain.
- Working experience (at least 3 years)

- Strong analytical skills
- Strong systems skills
- Ability to work in a matrix organization
- Ability to simplify complex processes
- Effective communication skills
- Experience with SAP (R/3 and APO)
- Sense of urgency, flexibility and accountability
- Enterprise thinking (end-to-end supply orientation, cross functional team spirit, sharing of good practices within the network)
- Proven Planning & Organizational skills
- Very good written and spoken English
