About the Role
As a Product Owner in Aprimo R&D, you’ll be driving one or more agile development teams in building, testing, and deploying an Azure cloud-based web application which allows users around the world to collaborate within the Marketing enterprise space. Our customers are well known enterprise brands such as: Ubisoft, AT&T and Bank of America.
Your main target is to deliver an excellent, innovative SAAS solution which contains complex, state-of-the-art and yet user friendly and intuitive functionalities and provide global customers an excelling user experience. This user experience goes from scoping until customer support.
The goal is to frequently deliver value to our customers without violating our 99.9x% uptime to our customers. Once the solution is available to our customers, you and the team should follow the new capability by checking the behavior, customer acceptance and resolve issues, if needed. You will be challenged to work with different technologies and to come up with realistic and technically sound solutions. Creating intuitive and performant software should be seen as obvious, because our solutions work with lots of data and have a broad, geo-graphical spread, and customer base. This you will do in a co-located and remote teams (e.g., Amsterdam, Birmingham, Manila, and Indianapolis). The teams work in an agile work environment where we continuous challenge ourselves to improve and take employee experience into account.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Product Management defines the priorities of the business problems that need to be tackled and you will determine with the scrum teams the solution for each. In this role you will be responsible for multiple functional domains in our Aprimo product by specifying features and maintaining the product backlog. You are expected to develop a deep understanding of business and typical user experiences, to determine the best way to optimize products and continuously improve them. This will result in a healthy, prioritized product backlog and you will ensure the product maintains a solid technical integrity while meeting the most important user needs.
- You will also guide the development of specific features. You will identify and elaborate on clear requirements, create, trial, and refine prototypes, gather feedback, and identify the need for further development. Working with a multi-disciplinary, global development team - you will liaise with designers, developers, quality engineers, technical writers, product managers and business analysts to achieve the optimal implementation.
- Be involved in the sustainability process by setting priorities and be the liaison between the R&D team and other internal stakeholders, such as customer support.
- Help in creating the necessary user assistance, such as release notes, online documentation, training material to get new or adapted features adopted within Aprimo and by customers
- Build and perform in constructive team environment helping colleagues and co-creation.

About You
Preferred Experience:
- 3 - 5 years relevant experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in business or related discipline or equivalent years’ experience
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An attitude of transparency and a desire to bring disclosure to the business and management about development
- Scrum Product Owner certification
- A natural ability to understand business value and strive to add additional value
- Pride in delivering high quality requirements and user stories
- A keen interest in and affinity with technology
- The ability to quickly familiarize himself/herself with products and domain knowledge
- Experience working with Product Management to determine product roadmaps
- Drive to take ownership and make the required judgements and decisions when necessary
- Leadership skills to influence without authority and by giving context instead of direction
- Analytical thinking and a meticulous work ethic
- Desire to work in a fun, innovative, demanding, and dynamic environment
- Preferably, a university degree
- Preferably, experience with user experience and design
