Abbott is recruiting a Quality Specialist to be based in Zaventem, Belgium.

As a Quality Specialist, you assist the Quality Systems Manager EMEA in the implementation and maintenance of the quality system in EMEA. Your main responsibility is to perform Document Control activities and set-up and maintenance of on-line training activities.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Execute Quality Control tasks as a member of the EMEA Quality Team

  • Monitor compliance of the EMEA QMS to external quality and regulatory requirements, ensure SOPs and instructions are aligned and changes are processed through Change request and document control process.

  • Ensure training compliance within EMEA region, through assignment of on-line trainings. Provide trainings to applicable departments on relevant Quality topics, projects or procedural updates.

  • Support or act as back of for Quality Control Mechanisms as member of the EMEA Quality Team

  • Support activities for Quality Improvement Projects by executing tasks as assigned or follow-up on actions in Quality Plans

  • Support affiliates in preparation of internal & external audits, provide support during the audits and follow-ups resulting from the audits.

  • Provide input to management review meeting EMEA.

  • Participate in management review meeting affiliates and follow up on actions.

  • Collection, analysis and reporting of applicable KPIs.

  • Support Validation activities for Non-Product Software Validation and spreadsheet validation

  • Support the supplier management compliance activities by preparing, reviewing and/or submitting supplier files, Supplier Corrective Action Reports or Supplier Change Requests.

  • Support CAPA investigations and execution of CAPAs.

Your Profile

  • University degree, graduated science, or equivalent work experience

  • Experience with Quality Systems

  • Basic understanding of the ISO 13485 or ISO 9000 requirements

  • Working proficiency in English language

  • Extensive MS Office skills, computer literacy

  • Team player

  • Ability to respect confidential nature of information

  • Focused on maintenance of effectiveness of processes

  • Good communication skills
