Job description:Responsibilities
As a Manager SH&E you’re responsible for :
- Studying en researching the regulations and legislations concerning the safety issues when handling chemical products and the application of these products in Agfa’s finished products.
- estimating and controlling the risks of chemical products and raw materials.
- reporting the information applicable for Agfa, with the necessary instructions, to the relevant departments and subsidiaries .
- ensuring Agfa is compliant with the registrations, notifications, evaluations, authorisations and restrictions of chemical materials
- organising toxicological, ecological and stability tests in order to register new substances with the authorities and define the hazard classification.
- Leading and maintaining professional contacts with external parties (federations, government,...) regarding SH&E regulations.
Desired skills & experience:
- You have a master degree in chemistry or equivalent through experience.
- You have a good knowledge of the environmental legislation en safety regulations or you’re willing to acquire this knowledge.
- You have project management skills and you’re goal oriented.
- You have good communication and interpersonal skills
- You enjoy working in a team and you have a strong customer focus .
- You’re driven en you show integrity.
- You’re eager to learn en you up to date on the developments in your domain of expertise.
- You have an excellent knowledge of English and knowledge of French and German.
- You are able to manage and motivate your team
