Description

We recently built the world’s first battery-electric double-decker coach. Another world premiere is the introduction of a hydrogen-powered bus for a Bus Rapid Transit system.

In order to meet the demand for our innovative products, we are looking to expand our international Bus & Coach Sales team with a Sales Engineer Northern Europe.

This key role is a unique challenge in which you are responsible for preparing offers and following-up on orders for our futuristic Exqui.City and other Van Hool city buses in Northern Europe. It is an exciting position in which you :
  • Analyse the Northern European Bus Public Transport market for Battery Electric, Fuel Cell Electric and Trolley Buses.
  • Drive the generation of technical and commercial offers in this market by project leading the correct, complete and timely input from Engineering, Production, Purchase, Finance, Legal, After Sales, public authorities, operators and project partners (Sales-to-Order).
  • Oversee the realisation of won tenders in collaboration with the customer, project partners and the Engineering, Production, Purchase, After Sales departments (Order-to-Delivery).
You report directly to the Manager Sales Engineering and work in close cooperation with the Sales Executive for Nothern Europe to anticipate on local market developments. As a team player you function over the regions and across departments.

Requirements

What do we expect from you:
  • Expert in writing technical and commercial offers for public tenders.
  • Knowledge of Battery Electric, Fuel Cell Electric and Trolley transport is a plus.
  • Experience in the automotive industry and/or in understanding and reviewing technical sales descriptions.
  • B2B project management experience in following-up on won tenders.
  • Skilled in the optimalisation of work processes.
  • Hands-on multitasker who can work independently against strict deadlines.
  • Technical-commercial attitude.
  • Fluent in a Scandinavian language, good knowledge of English. Other languages are a plus.
  • Bachelor in Engineering or equivalent experience level.
  • You have the choice to work from home and/or from one of our company sites.
