The Role

As a Mechanical Engineer you start working on a project receiving a functional description and a mechanical layout from the sales department.
  • Based on the concept you’re able to work out all the technical details of the design and turn it into an automated storage installation
  • You can deliver quality work with tight deadlines and stay in control over the mechanical aspects during the lead time of the projects
  • You are responsible for the detailed engineering of the conveyor system and you are the first line of contact with third party suppliers. For example: racking, cranes, platforms, customized machines, ……
  • You have a strong interest in mechanics and automated warehouse solutions
  • Developing the sales concept into a safe working solution in accordance with industry norms and international standards
  • On a regular base you consult with the project manager regarding planning & budget
  • Orders materials and follows-up the deliveries
  • Prepares and maintains the technical files and drawings
  • You will be involved in the new integrated engineering software of Maestro
  • Evaluate design drawings in cooperation with Mechanical Design Engineers and Project Manager
  • Prepares safety layouts and consults with other engineering disciplines
  • Attends inspections and tests of machinery during and after construction on site
  • Provides technical support to the construction site supervisor
  • Acts as a continues developing knowledge base in the Mechanical field
  • You assist your colleagues in sales, purchase and quality department.
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience as a Mechanical Engineer within a project engineering organization is an advantage
  • You have experience in the intralogistic industry and ideal with Lay outting of conveyor systems
  • You have experience with Autocad (2014-2017)
  • Experience with Solid Works or another 3D CAD software is a plus
  • You are Familiar with European standards and CE
  • You have at least a Bachelor (BSc) degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline (preferably mechanics)
  • Strong finisher, perseverant
  • Strong analytical understanding, creative and solution focused
  • Can work both independently and as part of a team
  • "No nonsense" mentality, in which working pragmatically means efficiency and effectiveness
  • Does what is expected of him/her
  • Can work under pressure of tight deadlines
  • Open minded for LEAN
  • (Good at visualizing ideas - sometimes a picture is worth more than 1000 words. Uses diagrams, mock-ups, flow charts, etc., for example.)
  • You speak fluent Dutch and English
  • Good communication skills, extra languages are added value
  • CV in English
