At Rolls-Royce Solutions Liège (RRSL), we provide reliable electrical protection.For our office in Grace-Hollogne (Liege), Belgium, we are looking for:Service Operations Engineer (Fulltime)The Service Operations Engineer at the competence centre for service on Kinetic PowerPack at RRSL has the mission to provide technical and organisational support for service activities in Belux as a 1st line (level) and worldwide as a 2nd line (level). This role drives for high Uptime at the customers sites, high customer satisfaction and for avoiding defects via condition monitoring, capturing the learning internally and executing service campaign in the installed base.This set of responsibilities is applicable in every combination of direct, 1st line support (Belux), and indirect, 2nd line support to distributors, service integrators, service partners and RR subsidiaries within the Kinetic PowerPack market. Possible also the genset market can be covered as a back-up in case the business would require it.Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule timely, prepare rigorously and organize efficiently preventive maintenance on Kinetic PowerPack units that have been commissioned and when managing customers in the 1st line (direct).
  • Analyse and solve machine/system breakdowns, warnings in the field (such as power losses, red & yellow alarms, observations) on Kinetic PowerPack units that have been commissioned in any case relevant (1st line or 2 line).
  • Determine root cause and report conclusions of incidents in the field (on Kinetic PowerPack units that have been commissioned) when requested by the customer or by the company.
  • Organize implementation of long-term solutions
  • Execute “on call” for full-week-turns to guarantee a 24/7 support world-wide, according an agreed convention.
  • Instructor for the training centre to the international RRPS community – coaching team-members as instructors.
Qualifications
  • Industrial engineer (4years Master) electro mechanics, polyvalent orientation, or Bachelor electro-mechanics with a shown track record in this field of D-UPS
  • A first experience in a technical environment, in a similar field of technology and/or in an after sales department is an asset
  • Excellent French and English, spoken and written.
  • Resilient to stress and dynamical context created by the market conditions
