And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.In our Site in Verviers, Belgium | Lonza we are looking for a Planning Manager responsible for the creation, execution and maintenance of the Supply Plan including the creation of the Master Production Schedule and medium-term capacity loading outlook and to develop proactive strategies to anticipate and mitigate issues and risks with respect to supply planning.Key Responsibilities
  • Execute the monthly supply planning cycle including the creation and updating of supply plans, MPS and identification of key supply decisions with all relevant stake holders
  • Manage small order fulfillment team in providing critical commitments and updates to key internal stakeholders so customers and systems are updating timely, coordinating with rest of Supply Chain, Operations and Customer service
  • Develop (or work with Inventory Manager) to maintain inventory targets by categories and manage inventory of new and phase-out parts. Facilitate the reduction of excess or expired inventory
  • Oversee the Production scheduling group for several value streams, working closely with Manufacturing, MSAT, Quality and Program management.
  • Ensure and implement control in managing raw materials and finished goods inventory to prevent discards and/or scrap.
  • Prepare supply planning input into monthly S&OP cycle and annual budget cycle
Key Requirements
  • University degree in Supply Chain Management / Business Management
  • Extensive work experience in the area of Supply Chain / Operations
  • CPIM / APICS certifications
  • Ability to influence both Supply Chain and functional leaders to support supply planning and site manufacturing strategy recommendations
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to define metrics (KPI’s) and identify issues through root cause analysis
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical or manufacturing background is a plus
  • Competent using SAP IBP and SAP ECC and MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English (written and verbal), ability to present ideas in a clear and concise manner
