About the role
Key Responsibilities:
Based in Brussels and reporting to the HR Manager for Belgium and Luxembourg, your responsibilities will consist in the following:
Talent Acquisition:
- Responsibility for managing recruitments for Belgium to ensure current and future hiring needs are met in a timely, effective and cost-effective manner.
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers to proactively select and recruit top and diverse Talents. Be known as a true advisor and consultant driving a culture of Diversity & Inclusion.
- With your expertise in recruiting and selection, you will improve sourcing channels, talent pipelines, and talent pools to develop the quality and diversity of hires.
- Establish and manage relationships with recruitment agencies partnering with AIG to support our recruitment needs.
- Ensure we have accurate data to share with HR partners, hiring managers and for all reporting purposes.
- Manage communication with candidates throughout the entire hiring process and be an advocate for a positive candidate experience.
- Assist with new hire paperwork and act as the first point of contact in the new hire’s onboarding and introduction to the Business.
People Development:
- Consolidate upskilling needs in a training development plan and acquire a sound knowledge of Learning and Development articulation for our workforce.
- Develop an understanding of the business objectives and key people matters, equipping you to provide guidance, challenge and solutions aligned to the business objectives.
- Support the delivery of ad hoc HR projects at a country/cluster level to develop talents.
- Coordinating partnerships with our training providers.
HR Support
- Provide support to HR Manager by participating, developing, or implementing a variety of human resources programs or activities.
- Manage the onboarding process and provide some support in the employee life cycle as for example the exit interview.
- Collaborate in project as Top Employer, well-being programs, diversity improvement, etc.
- Develop some reporting to guide action plans in collaboration with HR management and the Business.
- Coordinate with other AIG HR Professionals (Talent Acquisition; HRSS; Global Employee Relations) to ensure consistency in approach and compliance with firm-wide human resources programs and policies.
Key Capabilities:
- Proven ability to develop strong business partnerships with senior leaders and be effective at consulting and making recommendations to hiring managers based on industry knowledge and experience.
- A passion for developing hiring methods to attract top and diverse talents.
- Experience using a Recruitment Management System or HR Tool, especially Workday.
- Organizational Skills – personal efficiency, time management skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands are key.
- Communication Skills – Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills. Build relationships and collaborate with others.
- Proven ability to thrive and perform in an international and fast-paced environment.
What we’re looking for:
- Ideally, you hold a master’s degree in human resources or related studies.
- You are experienced with at least 3 years in an HR position where you acquired experience in Talent Acquisition and People Development.
- Excellent English, French & Dutch communication skills.
- You are proficient in the use of MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
