Role overview

To support our rapid growth and ambitious goals, we are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team and help build a strong workforce dedicated to innovation and sustainability, with a passion for environmental impact.

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a key role in sourcing, engaging, and hiring top talent, with a strong focus on engineering, scientific and technical profiles. You will work closely with our leadership team to ensure a seamless recruitment process and a strong employer brand that reflects our mission and values.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract high-caliber candidates, particularly in engineering, scientific, and technical fields.
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing and screening to interviewing and onboarding.
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline by engaging with universities, research institutions, and industry networks.
  • Ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and provide expert guidance on talent acquisition best practices.
  • Support employer branding initiatives and actively promote Novobiom as an employer of choice in the greentech and sustainability sectors.

After a few months there will be an opportunity to take broader responsibilities and help set up and run our in-house HR activities and company communication, supported by an external consultant. If you are willing and ready to take over that challenge you will have the opportunity to:

  • Oversee all HR processes, including onboarding, payroll, compensation & benefits, performance management, and training & development.
  • Develop and implement HR policies that support a high-performance and inclusive work environment.
  • Support leadership in fostering a strong company culture aligned with Novobiom’s values and mission.
  • Manage internal communication to ensure alignment and engagement within the team.
  • Develop and maintain communication materials, such as newsletters, social media content, and company updates.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, ideally within a startup, biotech, engineering or scientific environment.
  • Strong track record in recruiting engineering, scientific, R&D, and technical profiles.
  • Familiarity with modern recruitment tools, applicant tracking systems, and sourcing techniques.
  • Passion for environmental sustainability and a deep alignment with Novobiom’s mission.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment where adaptability is key.
  • Fluency in English and French are mandatory, additional languages are a plus.
