About The Team

The team consists of 8-12 Full Stack Engineers responsible for Java-based & web applications running on cloud and on-board Debian-based PIS (Passenger Information System) controller.

You will report to the Head of R&D Projects.

What will you be doing in this role?

Work organization

  • Drive the design, development and maintenance of Java-based applications by collaborating with project management, system engineering and other development and testing teams.
  • Enable your team by setting priorities, providing direction and resolving blockers.
  • Provide structure by assigning tasks, planning and follow up on execution.
  • Drive development process improvements and operational excellence as part of the cross-functional R&D management team.

People leadership

  • Coach and guide the team members, helping them grow both technically and personally.
  • Manage performance by setting goals and evaluating performance and guiding employees in their professional development and career paths.
  • Foster a high-performing, motivated and collaborative team culture.

Technical involvement

  • Support the team in Java-based full stack development
  • Contribute to the development and integration of software components running on onboard train computers.

How You Can Add Value To Our Team

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent through experience.
  • Proven experience in software development (preferably Java-based full stack).
  • Demonstrated experience leading or coaching technical teams.
  • Strong organizational & communication skills.
  • Experience with software integration in embedded or hardware-related environments is definitely a strong added value!
