Job Purpose and Impact

The Technical Account Manager Chocolate and Coatings & Fillings for Germany, Export and Distribution will provide technical advice and support to customers during and after product sales, in the Benelux and German region. In this role, you will be the lead contact for customers and you will be knowledgeable of technology and business practices through workshops, research and professional meetings.

This position is limited to a 1 year contract.

Key Accountabilities
  • Lead technical projects with direct, export and distribution customers
    • Provide customer solutions and technical support to customers
    • Perform low to medium complex research for product development (specifically new chocolate – Coatings and fillings product formulation)
    • Compile and analyze data for project update, working with external suppliers to test new products and technologies
    • Organize project data and conclusions for internal and customer presentations, assist with product demonstrations and service as subject matter guide during meetings with prospective and current customers.
    • Collaborate with customers and internal sales, marketing, operations teams and key experts to provide (onsite) technical support for current customers and prospects
  • Stay informed of product insight and research to improve value of offerings.
  • Keep application and value collection up to date in the systems.
  • With some supervision handle low – medium complex issues, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of related (Food) work experience, preferably in the area of chocolate – Coatings and Fillings area and / or their usage in confectionery / bakery or ice cream applications
  • Passion for understanding, creating, and communicating value and solutions to team members and customers.
  • Fluent in English and German, Dutch preferred
