Function

Barco Healthcare’s R&D team is looking for a hands-on engineering technician to support the introduction of a couple of new products in the medical market. As a engineering technician you will be part of a large international R&D team and will be responsible for building a variety of prototypes within the development phase of the project as well as early mock-up samples for technology demonstration. This position is situated in Barco Healthcare and will involve the development of customized visualization solutions for medical devices. As a engineering technician you will get in touch with a variety of new technologies and contribute to the future of healthcare. We are looking for self-directed, collaborative, and flexible candidates with a strong affinity to mechanics and electronics, that are willing to wear several hats.

Key Responsibilities

As engineering technician, you will:
  • Be responsible for building prototypes in different phases of the product development cycle - Provide overall support to the development team in these 3 domains:- mechanics - electronics - testing
  • Liaise with both the R&D and production colleagues to solve technical problems.

We Are Looking For a Barco Colleague Who
  • Ideally has a Bachelor’s degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering;
  • Experience in prototyping is considered a plus, but also graduates are welcome to apply!
  • Communicates fluently in English (speaking/writing)
  • Is a flexible teamplayer.
