For our client BNP Paribas Fortis we from Adecco Belgium are searching for a Trade Accounting Advisor. He/she will join the Global Trade Solutions (GTSC) Belgium department in Brussels. GTSC is helping companies to develop their international activities by mitigating their risks and financing their international trade transactions.

GTSC is a customer-oriented department within Global Trade Solutions Belgium, and as a hinge between GTS Sales and the Back Office, responsible for processing Documentary Credits and Documentary Incassi files. There is direct contact with various departments and stakeholders within the bank. We respect each other and encourage a culture of open communication.

Tasks

The Trade Accounting Advisor is in daily contact with the other teams and departments and strives to manage accounts as correctly and qualitatively as possible, checking and reviewing balances, giving (proactive) advice regarding correction entries to be made.

  • Actively participates in daily internal accounting controls.
  • Correctness, quality and speed are constant concerns of the Trade Accounting Advisor, including when dealing with various entries and queries.
  • The Trade Accounting Advisor alerts to the risk aspects of his/her activities and takes appropriate action in case of or to prevent problems (e.g. with credit lines, commission entries, etc.).
  • Escalates where necessary and informs management of abnormal and/or irregular transactions.
Requirements

  • 2 years working experience
  • Minimum SECONDARY education or equivalent by experience
  • Good knowledge understanding, writing and speaking in : Dutch and ENG or French and ENG
  • Familiarity with the Windows 10 environment and practical knowledge of current MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel...);
  • Punctual and analytical
  • Autonomous and eager to learn
  • 2 years of working experienceid to ask questions attitude
