About the job

As a Trade & Category manager, you will propose, create, implement and post-analyse Category management and Shopper Projects at customers.
You will be able to focus on 4 growth pillars :
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive category and trade strategies to drive market growth and achieve revenue targets, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives.
  • Market Analysis:Conduct thorough market research (GfK, Nielsen, Retailer data, ...) and analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape, enabling data-driven decision-making for assortment optimisation and trade marketing initiatives.
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee the management and development of product portfolios within assigned categories, including product assortment, pricing strategies, promotions, and product lifecycle management, to maximise profitability and meet customer demands.
  • Trade Marketing:Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to develop and implement effective trade marketing programs, including promotions, merchandising strategies, and sales collateral, to drive brand visibility and increase market share.

About the ideal candidate

  • You have a first experience in a Sales or Marketing role within the Consumer Goods sector.
  • You have proven analytical skills– ability to interpret large amounts of data and arrange / present in a simple and effective format, providing facts-based insights and recommendations. Experience using the Nielsen and GFK panels will be a big plus.
  • You are able to conduct business in Dutch, French and English
