OVERALL OBJECTIVES:

Eurofins is currently accelerating the deployment of standard processes across its Laboratories. A key aspect is related to its Information Systems (EurIS) in which the central and regional web-based Marketing & Offer applications ComLIMS are essentials.

The main objective of this position is to join the IT Solutions Development Team in Brussels to accelerate the evolution of our UI to new technologies.

ComLIMS leverages UML modelisation, widely used technologies and tools (Visual Studio, ReSharper, Rider, ASP.NET Mvc, C#, Javascript and MS SQL Server) and a few SOA Integration patterns.

The candidate is expected to:

• Contribute to the delivery of high quality ComLIMS software by oneself and together with the team (including design, code, tests, documentation),
• Embrace high quality engineering and guidelines of the target solutions,
• Embrace Agile practices and well-known modelisation practices (UML)
• Develop working relationships within the wider Eurofins IT community and with select Eurofins user groups.

SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS:

• Contribute to the design, development, troubleshooting, tests and documentation of select ComLIMS components, at appropriate quality levels, and timely.
• Follow and promote group development practices and policies in order to produce ComLIMS functions that can easily be implemented within Eurofins Group.
• Develop new user facing features
• Write reusable code and libraries
• Enhance application for maximum speed and scalability
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholder
• Define how the application looks and how it works
• Translate UI/UX design wireframes to actual code

OTHER ASSIGNMENTS:

• Ensure follow-up to his Manager and Team Leader on a regular basis and as often as requested.
• Acquire rapidly a working knowledge of Eurofins EurIS systems, starting with ComLIMS, underlying concepts and model, as well as the processes and practices of the team.

• 2+ years of Front-End development experience (other experiences don’t count)
• Strong knowledge of any of the following frameworks: BackboneJS, AngularJS, ReactJS, KnockoutJS, VueJS
• Good knowledge of CSS, JQuery and Bootstrap/Materialize
• Basic knowledge of .NET Framework and C#
• Good knowledge and understanding of Git
• Open to any JavaScript Framework that will be chosen in the evolution of ComLIMS
• Good teamwork and ability to communicate
• Very good English proficiency
• Familiar with Visual Studio, Rider/WebStorm is a plus
• Back-end development experience is a plus
• SQL knowledge is a plus
