What does this job entail?

Clear reportings allow us to make data-driven decisions. As a Functional / Data Analyst within KBC Asset Management, you shape these reports. We count on you to be the bridge between business stakeholders, our developers and our IT colleagues. You reinforce a diverse team that manages existing reports and develops new ones.

What do we expect from you?

  • You capture the needs of your internal clients and analyse the possibilities. You look at all relevant data to map out all possible solutions.
  • You keep your colleagues up to date on the status of your work preparation.
  • After your preparation, you give the developers a clear overview of the deliverables. Always based on a thorough functional and data analysis.
  • You follow up during the development phase.
  • You make sure that the chosen solution is widely accepted within the organisation. This means making sure that everyone is on the same wavelength: technical experts, IT architects, business analysts, …
  • You link data models to concrete business and architectural needs.
  • You actively contribute to projects in an agile working context.
  • You give demonstrations and provide documentation.

Your key strengths?

  • Ideally, you have a master’s degree in IT or economics.
  • You know SQL and PowerCenterand have some experience with them.
  • You’re interested in financial markets, data modelling techniques and data warehouse concepts, like Kimball. Already familiar with this? Even better.
  • Analysing and synthesizing are among your strengths. This allows you to capture the needs of clients and create clear overviews of the pros and cons of different solutions.
  • You have a structured approach but adapt easily when a situation changes. A good result, that’s what drives you. And you like to work towards results together with others.
  • Just like your colleagues you are driven and eager to keep learning.
