Parts Supply Chain Group’s mission is to deliver the right product (service parts, accessories and information) at the right time, through lean integrated logistics, exceeding customer & stakeholder expectation, with engaged members realising a sustainable future. These parts arrive from different suppliers or plants all over the world to Diest (Belgium), where they are distributed directly to the final customer or to our Regional Depots/ National Marketing & Sales Companies. Our Network structure staffs 1500 Toyota members, we deliver to over 3500 garages and 44 regional warehouses within Europe, Belarus and North Africa.
Within this network, Toyota Parts Centre Europe (TPCE) is the epicentre from where we coordinate the logistics of these parts and accessories in a warehouse that has more than 100.000 m 2 and employs around 1000 employees combining shopfloor members and office members. We are currently looking for a person to join our Graduate Development Program as an industrial automation engineer in TPCE.
Your Responsibilities
- While following the graduate program, you will be working on several projects within our Kaizen team supporting in improving and implementing new automation technology creating the warehouse of the future.
- We also want you to be the best version of yourself, that is why we always encourage people to reflect about their development and growth towards higher management functions within TME and other entities of Toyota in Europe.
- The basic principle for us is called: “KAIZEN” and is what guides us in our pursuit of 3 Best (Best Process/ Best Member/ Best Management).
Your Profile
For TME Graduate positions we are targeting recent University Graduates (less than 18 months of experience excluding internships)
- You are fluent in Dutch and English (TME’s business language)
- You have a degree in Industrial Engineering / Electromechanical Engineering Technology
- You have a passion and knowledge of the latest innovation technology (AMR, logistic automation technology)
- You support and lead designing and testing of new automation equipment
- You have good fact finding and analysis skills to draw conclusions from the gathered data and information to optimize new technology features
- You create maintenance policies and procedure sustaining new technologies
- You have a high shopfloor interest
- You have a creative mind and a passion for supply chain
- You are practical, logical and with a hands-on approach
- You are well organised, and your flexibility makes you a perfect team player
- Self-starter, taking initiative and with a strong proactive mindset
- Stress resistance and good personal organization competences in order to prioritize and meet strict deadlines
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
