To reinforce our Global Operations Finance department, we are looking for a Group Operations Financial Performance Managerwho will design and globally roll-out a harmonized manufacturing and supply chain financial performance management frame to monitor the progress against our five-year operations excellence saving program. In this view, the job holder will define the right metrics, tools and processes to gather, consolidate, review, reconcile and challenge the financial results.

This role is based in our Global HQ (1050 Brussels).

Reporting into the Group VP Finance Operations, you will handle the followingresponsibilities:

Design

  • In close cooperation with the local and regional teams, determine the key metrics and process to gather, review and monitor the financial results in manufacturing, supply chain and procurement areas.
  • Define the standards for the savings P&L impact recognition for manufacturing, supply chain and procurement cost improvement programs (eg : COGS walk).
  • Advise and support harmonization efforts on KPI definition and costing methodology
  • Coordinate the roll-out of the operations financial performance governance structure defined above on a global level
  • Perform the monthly and year-to-date monitoring of the key operational results including variance analysis vs budget/forecast/prior year and volume/mix/cost analysis. Constructively challenge results.

Implement and monitor:

  • Perform/review the reconciliation between the operations & procurement results vs the reported P&L in order to sign-off the realized savings. Identify risks and opportunities.
  • Consolidate the monthly results and prepare reporting at group level for varying audiences and governance structures (eg : Operations Leadership, Excom, Board).
  • Monitor plans and realizations against strategic plan ambition (1-2x/year)

Improve:

  • Define continuous improvement roadmap to centralize and automate reporting for operations performance into a single platform (eg : PowerBI). Drive implementation.
  • Provide insights for internal and external benchmarking on relevant measures in order to challenge performance.
  • Support different types of ad hoc initiatives like capex requests, capacity planning modelling, strategic planning simulations, ...

Global ERP implementation:

  • Act as sparring partner in the ERP roll-out by providing expert input for manufacturing & supply chain master data, costing and reporting set-up in SAP

Profile:

  • University degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering or another relevant domain.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in an international plant controlling or manufacturing financial function including ability to bring best practices in terms of manufacturing & supply chain related financial reporting, variance analysis and savings tracking
  • Tools literacy (non-exhaustive) : SAP, data warehousing, BI/Power, BI tools and Cognos TM1 or other similar reporting tools

  • Ability and willingness to be hands-on while not losing sight of the bigger picture/overall objective.
  • Ability to plan & organize his/her work and the work of others with clear and structured planning and processes.
  • Ability and willingness to navigate through complex and immature systems, reporting tools and organizations
  • Capacity to translate financial and business indicators into crisp messages with actionable/meaningful information
  • Ability to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners across Aliaxis
  • Ability to act as change agent through good listening and influencing skills across a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate in a structured and concise way, both in writing or orally
