As Head of HR EMEA, you are responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the EMEA Human Resources organization as well as developing, implementing and driving a variety of regional and global team programs and initiatives in support of the overall corporate strategy. Your scope includes the HR support of our Manufacturing Plant in Erpe Mere, Belgium.
Reporting to the SVP Human Resources, you are the voice of the EMEA workforce in the identification, prioritization, and creation of local and company-wide programs, policies and processes. You serve as the primary business partner for EMEA leadership in areas including employee relations, talent acquisition and development, social legislation/legal compliance activities, organizational optimization and management coaching, as well as ensure regional compensation and benefits offerings are competitive and compelling with the market Your actions and contributions significantly influence the creation and adoption of an engaging, effective and inspiring local and company operational culture.
Responsibilities:
As our Head of EMEA HR, you will:
  • Staff, develop and motivate a world-class EMEA HR team
  • Manage the efficient execution of the EMEA full employment cycle, including but not limited to
    • Data management, integrity, and security
    • Regional employment practice alignment
    • Talent acquisition
    • On-boarding/off-boarding
    • Workforce evaluation and development
    • Compensation, payroll & benefits
  • Ensure EMEA HR operations align with corporate governance process and procedure requirements
  • Manage relations and relationship with works council representatives in Belgium and Germany; ensure full compliance with applicable government/social legislations
  • Identify regional and global opportunities for departmental continuous evolution and improvement
Qualifications:
As a prerequisite to become our Head of EMEA HR, you:
  • Posses minimally an undergraduate degree in HR, Business or a related field
  • Have a minimum of 10 years progressive HR generalist/business partner experience, with a focus supporting Belgium-based workforce
  • Are
    • Knowledgeable about GDPR and related personal information privacy laws
    • Fluent in English and Dutch
    • Able to work with highly confidential, sensitive information
    • Self-motivated and flexible with the ability to successfully multi-task and self-prioritize work with a commitment to follow-through and responsiveness
  • Possess knowledge of Belgian social legislations and experience working with works councils
  • Are experienced in working
    • With SAP Employee Central/Successfactors Suite
    • In a large, multi-national company (preferred)
    • With blue collar workforce (a plus)
  • Possess
    • Excellent team, people management, communication and interpersonal skills
