To Strengthen Our Global Market Access Team, Based In The UK, We Are Looking For a Talented Individual To Fill The Position Of

Head of Global Pricing

The Head of Global Pricing will be responsible for leading and developing UCB’s late state asset global pricing strategies aligned to UCB’s governance requirements. You will be pivotal in defining UCB’s pricing policies in collaboration with Government Affairs and develop the Global pricing strategy for public and private payer universe.

You like to work in an environmentwhere you can:
  • Lead and develop UCB’s late state asset global pricing strategies
  • Collaborate with the Patient Value Units and Operational teams to define launch price strategy and policy for launch assets and approve with the relevant governance bodies
  • Provide capability thought leadership around the development and implementation of innovative and value-based pricing approaches for in-market and mid to late stage pipeline assets
  • Develop and share pricing best practice across therapeutic areas, championing change and innovative approaches to raise pricing capability throughout UCB
  • Define life cycle pricing strategies and policy for in market assets, driving optimization of gross and net price corridors, manager price implications across regions/key countries and approve price changes
  • Lead the management of Global Pricing Governance, ensuring up to date and appropriate pricing process and governance at all levels of the organisation
  • Deliver and maintain new generation of pricing tools to enable pricing optimisation of current portfolio and new launches
  • Orchestrate qualitative pricing input into Budget and Strategic Plans
  • Champion Operational pricing launch excellent practices and represent the Global Pricing team in various Launch Excellence activities
  • Develop a high performing team of pricing analysts and strategic thinkers to support the above deliverables
  • Collaborate on the development of policy positions on pricing and works with Global Government Affairs to advocate for UCB’s policy position at relevant global forums
  • Lead the development of externally communicable pricing policies supporting UCB;’s public position regarding “fair” price, “value-based pricing” and “affordability pricing” and “access to medicines”
  • Lead the Pricing team and stand as part of the APEX leadership team
  • Drive high engagement, fostering innovation in value creation with
You Experience And Requirements
  • Extensive experience working within a relevant environment such as pharmaceuticals company or biotech
  • Extensive knowledge of pricing and reimbursement regulations and processes in key markets
  • Previous strategic and operational pricing experience or experience in a closely related field
  • Strategic thinker experienced in working with commercial and financially oriented issues.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and the ability to achieve results.
  • Must have experience hiring and developing successful teams.
  • Must have superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ideally experience managing price, trade or distribution at an affiliate level
  • Experience of developing global pricing and reimbursement strategies preferred
