Your role & work environment

• You are responsible for the advice to personal banking clients in Zone West (Oost-Vlaanderen and West-Vlaanderen). Therefore you develop a tactical approach including commercial initiatives for acquisition and retention of clients, performance management to increase net growth AUM, support for independent agents acting as personal bankers and the mindset shift necessary to support the transformation.
• The Zone West personal banking represents approximately 13 billion assets in personal banking.
• You are responsible in Zone West for the relationship approach to approximately 50.000 personal banking clients ( DMU ). Your direct reports are personal banking managers (4 HC) hierarchically responsible for a team of personal bankers (38 HC) and functionally supporting independent agents (80 HC).
  

Your Key Responsibilities

• As head of Personal Banking you are responsible for :
• the commercial results regarding personal banking in the Zone West.
• the net growth outstanding on investments assets.
• the further development of the relationship model of personal banking in the zone, i.e.:
• implementing the specific commercial/contact approach of personal banking, offering personalized advice to all personal banking customers regarding savings & investments, pension solutions, family protection and detecting lending opportunities.
• business development in relation to the acquisition of new clients and increasing the share-of-wallet and cross-selling of existing clients.
• looking for synergies with mass, independents & micro-companies, private banking and mid corp
• representing the zone towards affluent clients.
• the support for independent agents acting as personal bankers.
• the focus on customer centricity leading to a growing NPS Personal Banking score for the zone West.
• the environment and the support for the statutory personal bankers, making then growing in their function
• the strict conformity of the zone West with the rules of MiFID and compliance.
  

Additional Responsibilities

• You inspire and motivate the teams to realize the yearly objectives and ensures a strong customer centric approach.
• You manage the recruitment, mobility, training & development, reward and retention of your staff.
• You give feedback and coach your staff: you are directly in charge of the managers personal banking.
• You ensure effective communication within your team and with other lines and segments.
• You ensure the loop of decisions and information between the zone and the segment tribe.

As a Head of Personal Banking zone West you will also need:

• Master degree
• At least 5 years banking experience including commercial experience.
• Proven track record in people management, sales and transformation.
• Interest for the investment market and the affluent client service.
• Native Dutch; fluent in English & French.
• Leadership and management skills
• Strong client focus
• Agile mind-set
• Effective and transparent communication
