As an HR Advisor based in our Brasschaat office you will have ownership of local HR processes in Benelux covering the Market Business Units and 6 LEGO®Brand Retail Stores in Belgium and the Netherlands. Support the Benelux region in HR activities, local benefits and employee relations. Act as competence centre & support to our Business Service Operations (BSO) in Kladno, which handles transactional topics such as general payroll & master data.

  • Support LEGO® Brand retail Stores and Brasschaat Office in PO&D processes and employee lifecycle
  • Update and maintain local policies and procedures
  • Support with employee relations disputes
  • Filing with the NL government for subsidies (parental leave, sickness with UWV and ArboNed etc.)
  • Review contract templates & automation of certain documents supporting BSO (Netherlands and Belgium)
  • Collate monthly mutations for NL and BEL Payroll, support BEL payroll with the filing of CAO 90 annual bonus plan
  • Assessing and filing government reports, Sociale Balans in BEL, CBS and WKR in NL
  • Mercer filing and support in benchmarking
  • Vendor cooperation (WTW umbrella Insurances, UWV-Dutch governmental body, BSO)
  • Vendor administration: Creating Purchase Orders and processing invoices for respective vendors (WTW umbrella Insurances)

The LEGO Group`s People, Operations & Development (PO&D) organisation includes 4 main areas: Talent, Reward & Insights, Diversity & Inclusion and Partnering and Operations function.

In this role, you will be part of P&O Operations Nordic & Western Europe which are regionally 10 employees spread across different locations in Europe and you will be part of a local team of 3 in Benelux. Our purpose is to support the Nordic & Western Europe regions with HR Operational activities & local benefits. We also act as a competence centre & support to our Business Service Operations (BSO) in Kladno, which handles transactional topics such as general payroll & master data.

The HR Advisor Benelux is a critical part of the Benelux team and ensures daily operations in Belgium and the Netherlands are running smoothly, efficiently and in accordance with defined operating standards and policies.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Relevant work experience in a similar position (international/matrix organization ideally but not a must)
  • Experience within the area of labour law and employee relations in Belgium and the Netherlands
  • Experienced advising leaders on end-to-end employee lifecycle issues
  • Capable of communicating with people at all levels and areas
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a high level of curiosity
  • Ability to prioritise workload, juggle multiple topics at a time, and a continuous improvement attitude
  • Any experience with payroll is a plus but not a requirement
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English
  • Excellent MS Office skills
