Now, we are looking for a Human Resources officer in our office in Nivelles, Belgium.
As part of the HR Team in Belgium, the HR OFFICER will work closely with the HR Manager and the Global HR team to support a full range of HR programs including Talent acquisition management, onboarding and offboarding, compensation & benefits and payroll, employee engagement, policies, and compliance. This role is expected to be hands on and will be 80% payroll and staff administration management support.
What is the role About?
Your responsibilities as HR officer are:
- Support on payroll processing in Belgium, the Netherlands and France (act as back-up) in close collaboration with the payroll agency and with employee benefits providers.
- Support the on-boarding process of new hires in partnership with the management as well as the off-boarding process, including documentation.
- Support the business unit leaders on all HR aspects.
- Work together with the HR team on implementation of HR procedures and HR aspects.
- Nurture a positive working environment and drive employee engagement initiatives.
- Act as first line contact for HR employee questions in accordance with the Belgian, Dutch and French labor law, social legislation, and collective bargaining agreement. Build knowledge and closely monitor changes in employment legislation in Belgium, the Netherlands and France.
- Support the Finance and Accountancy department with payroll reports and labor cost forecasting.
- Support on Belgian recruitment activities: Job fairs coordination, Open door at IPS.
- Training coordination.
- General HR administrative tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in Human Resources or related fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in HR, business or related fields ideally combined with 2-3 years’ experience in a multi-country/cultural organization.
- Minimum3 years of experience in payroll processing in mandatory.
- Fluent in English and Dutch. Frenchis a plus.
- Good analytical skills and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential and private information.
- Excellent knowledge of MS office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook,) and any other ERP programs related to people management would be an asset.
