To strengthen our Corporate Development & Finance department, based in our headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: I2I Finance Lead Early Solutions.

As the I2I Finance Lead Early Solutions you will be the single point of contact of the Early Solutions Patient Value (PV) Unit(UCB’s Global Research and Early Development unit; hubs in Belgium, UK and USA)and you will ensure and maintain a strong relationship with the team. You will also provide specific expertise in transversal financial areas.

  • Take joint responsibility with Early Solutions Leadership Team (and FP&A) for Budget, Forecasting and Long-Term Plan process for the PV Unit.
  • Detect trends and future developments to provide forward-looking views on financial performance.
  • Adopt new ways of working, in cross-functional teams across departmental boundaries.


You will
contributeby:

  • Working with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team to ensure timely and accurate financial analysis is generated based on standardized, high-quality OPEX and P&L reporting.
  • Supporting monthly, quarterly and year-end close process, and ensuring accruals are consistent with IFRS.
  • Supporting the development and management of Capital Investments (CAPEX) for the PV Unit.
  • Validating key business assumptions and focusing on delivering actionable insights and value-driven proposals based on analysis & interpretation of data as well as a deep understanding of our value drivers.
  • Driving holistic resource allocations and prioritization - together with our internal teams - to provide transparency and to get the best value out of all our activities throughout the year.
  • Highlighting risks and opportunities proactively for internal teams / PV Unit, leading to an accurate upside and downside reporting and estimation of the year-end landing as well as proposes mitigation plans in case of deviation versus agreed targets.
  • Developing and maintaining an effective working relationship / partnership with PV Unit, Leadership teams and key stakeholders.


I
nterested? For this position you’ll need the followingeducation, experienceandskills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant finance or business-related discipline.
  • Proven experience of 4+ years in controlling, preferably in international pharma / biopharma company.
  • Problem solving skills, with attention to detail and quality of work.
  • Ability to anticipate changes and risks and proactivity via alternative scenarios.
  • Experience in SAP, mainly FICO modules and good accounting knowledge (IFRS).
  • Ability to positively challenge, influence, with constructive conflict resolution.
  • Good communication and organisation skills.
