Robert Half is currently recruiting an IFRS Reporting Manager for an international group active in the building sector.

Our client is a an international group, based in Belgium active in building materials.

The main accountabilities for this job include:

  • You will be the coordinator and first point of contact for the IFRS accounting in the group.
  • You will be accountable and responsible for the entire group related to IFRS accounting expertise and guide and steer the local and global finance team on compliancy, accuracy towards the IFRS accounting principles.
  • You will work with the external auditor on the IFRS accounting results and compliance.
  • You will be responsible to prepare and explain all the relevant internal and external accounts and disclosure notes in a compliant way.
  • You work together with IT and other business process owners to develop and implement the best IFRS software programs.
  • You ensure continuous improvement and will lead the further development of procedures, systems and tools to ensure an accurate, reliable and timely data collection from reporting entities for IFRS purposes.

The IFRS Reporting Manager should have the professionalism and experience to act as a trusted manager within the organization.

The requested qualifications for this job include:

  • You have a master degree or similar knowledge obtained through experience
  • Ideally, you have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role
  • You are well-acquainted with the general set-up of IFRS procedures
  • You have a good knowledge of the IFRS standards and BEGAAP accounting
  • You have a passion for IFRS and are willing to continuously keep your knowledge up to date with the new evolvements
  • You can work independently
  • You have experience in change management and guiding colleagues into new ways of working
  • You are an enthusiastic, communicative team player with a hands-on approach
  • You enjoy approaching tasks in a process-oriented manner
  • Knowledge of SigmaConso and SAP is considered as a surplus value
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is a plus
