For the Company Secretary, Legal, Ethics, Compliance & Insurance Department at our head office in Brussels (near the train station and subway, see the map here) we’re looking for a Insurance Officer (m/f/x).

Job
responsibilities

As an Insurance Officer you will work closely together with the Insurance Manager on the Legal & Insurance team and report to Fluxys’ Senior Insurance Officer.

• You will follow up and help negotiate on insurance tenders and renewals of the different types of policies, with a focus on Fluxys Group’s international shareholdings and interests, as well as on new activities and projects within the context of the energy transition
• You will contribute to the development of the international part of the Insurance Department in close collaboration with, among others, the internal teams that manage international shareholdings and interests
• You will occasionally analyse and follow up on damage claims
• You will liaise with both internal and external customers

About you

For this role, you have:

• A bachelor’s degree in insurance and/or one to three years of experience in insurance with a reputable insurance company or broker or in an industrial company
• A strong team spirit; you enjoy working with internal and external clients as well as with colleagues who have other types of technical expertise
• Strong power of persuasion and the ability to defend points of view in a diplomatic and assertive manner
• A perfect command of Dutch or French and a good knowledge of the other national language and English
• The flexibility to make occasional local and international trips
