This role in summary
The IT Business Analyst is a crucial role within Whirlpool, responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business. Incumbent would be responsible for analyzing business requirements, identifying and defining solutions, and translating these requirements into technical specifications. As an IT Business Analyst, you will work closely with IT teams, delivery partners, and business stakeholders to ensure that the technology solutions align with business objectives and user needs.
Your responsibilities will include
Gathering and analyzing business requirements:The IT Business Analyst must work with stakeholders to identify business needs, gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
Documenting requirements:Once the requirements are gathered, the IT Business Analyst must document them in a clear and concise manner, ensuring that they are understandable by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Developing solutions:The IT Business Analyst works with the IT team and/or vendor partners to develop solutions that meet the business needs. They also collaborate with other departments/Business Functions to ensure that the solutions are integrated with existing systems and processes from end to end perspective.Collaborate with IT development teams to ensure that the technology solutions meet the documented requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
Testing:The IT Business Analyst is responsible for building test plans and testing the developed solutions to ensure that they meet the business requirements and are working as intended.
Communication:The IT Business Analyst must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. They must be able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical specifications for IT.Provide training and support to end-users for new processes and systems.
Continuously monitor and assess the performance of solutions, and make recommendations for improvements.Provide ongoing support to business stakeholders and end-users to ensure that the technology solutions are being used effectively and efficiently.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to business analysis and technology solutions.
Minimum requirements
Bchelor’s degree or a 4 year college degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or related field.
2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the Manufacturing industry related to Logistics or Supply Chain Function.
Strong analytical skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC) is a plus.
Preferred skills and experiences
- Analytical thinking:Candidates should be able to analyze large amounts of data and identify trends, patterns, and insights that can help drive business decisions.
Communication skills:Candidates should be able to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner, and be able to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across various departments/Business Functions.
Requirements gathering:Candidates should be able to gather and document business requirements and functional specifications, and work collaboratively with development teams to implement solutions that meet those requirements.
Technical skills:Candidates should have a basic understanding of software development and IT systems. Experience with or exposure to SAP IBP, SAP APO a plus.
Agile methodologies:Candidates should be familiar with Agile methodologies and be able to work within an Agile development environment.
