Job Description

How can you contribute?

Eurofins’ ComLIMS Program (ComLIMS is derived from Communication and Laboratory Information Management System) consists of two internally developed web applications and a range of additional services (including reporting, data and business intelligence) which support our internal customers - the Eurofins laboratories worldwide - in their day-to-day activities related to sales and production processes of the analytical services offered to Eurofins customers. It is at the heart of the Eurofins strategy enabling efficient cross-selling between laboratories. Components of the Program and its data are used by a wide range of Eurofins applications making it a key Program within the international Eurofins Group.

Due to the increasing workload following Eurofins’ growth, sales and production process standardization activities, we are looking for an IT Business Analyst to join our team in Brussels responsible for an in-house developed application.

As an IT Business Analyst within our ComLIMS Program, you will:

  • Collect, identify, analyze and formalize requirements from key stakeholders through workshops, emails, interviews, surveys, etc.;
  • Write clear and well-structured high-level specifications for new functionalities/projects, including mock-ups, process flows, UML models and service contracts, and align with key stakeholders on design proposals;
  • Follow-up on user requirements/projects from analysis until release by leading discussions for cross-application business requirements, participating in design discussions and implementation verifications, and reporting to stakeholders on scope, timing and status;
  • Collaborate with Functional Analysts to successfully deliver complex projects,
  • Coach other Business or Functional Analysts with the purpose of sharing knowledge, best practices and expertise;
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and training sessions on new features made available to end-users;
  • Manage end-user documentation on a high-quality level: online help, customer forum, business process documentation, best practices, etc.;
  • Manage requests for change for which you are the subject matter expert.

Qualifications

Are you our kind of extraordinary?

  • Master Degree in Science, Engineering or Business;
  • Experience with business and process analysis is a strong advantage;
  • Understanding of or experience with UML is an asset;
  • Knowledge of SQL is an asset;
  • First experience with Scrum is a plus;
  • Knowledge of Service-Oriented-Architecture (SOA) is a plus;
  • Excellent critical thinking, detail-orientated and customer relationship management skills;
  • Fluent English communication skills (written/oral). Knowledge of another language is a plus.
