As an IT Engineer, you will:- Ensure the effective use of event management processes and toolsets.
- Oversee the timely resolution of IT incidents, including impact assessment, prioritization, dispatching, validation, and documentation revision.
- Initiate problem management and coordinate Authorized Service Interruptions/Scheduled Outages to minimize downtime.
- Participate in the Change Management process to ensure smooth roll-outs, new releases, and service modifications with customer awareness.
- Provide technical advice, coordination, and support for Operations Centre Incident Response.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to prioritize tasks during service restoration and risk mitigation.
- Liaise with other Operations Centre entities to maintain and improve incident management tools and best practices.
- Gather, process, and analyze information and data for continual service improvement.
- Monitor incident management effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Manage the life cycle of IT assets and review incident management processes regularly.
- Drive, develop, and maintain the major incident process and associated procedures.
- Lead others as required and deputize for higher-grade staff when necessary.
- A Master of Science (MSc) degree in a related subject and 2 years of post-related experience.
- Or a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in a related subject and 4 years of post-related experience.
- Alternatively, at least 10 years of extensive and progressive expertise in the relevant duties without a university/college degree.
- ITIL Service Operations and ITIL Foundation certification.
- Strong understanding of telecommunications, network, and information technology solutions and products.
- Experience in service operations and service management based on ITIL principles, using related toolsets such as ITSM.
- Prior experience working in an international environment, ideally comprising both military and civilian elements.
- Handle multiple incidents simultaneously while adapting to constantly changing requirements.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance.
- Work independently with limited supervision and lead others as required.
- Understand NATO responsibilities and organization, including Allied Command Operations and Allied Command Transformation.
