You at AGC’s Technovation Centre – Automotive Sensors & Vision – your mission
- You will be based at the Technovation Centre close to Brussels (Belgium) where research & development, engineering and IP activities are centralized under one roof with 280 members of personnel
- More specifically you will join our Automotive Sensors & Vision Department - a team of 17 researchers and technicians passionate about glass solutions related to Autonomous Driving, Head-Up Display and Automotive Electronics.
- Your mission will be to manage all the calibration activities of a LiDAR sensor integration behind glass in the field of autonomous driving (LiDAR calibration, glass cover correction and alignment on vehicle). You will be interacting and consolidating information from different technical teams (optical, mechanical, electronical,…), project management, partners and customers.
Your scientific profile
- Master in Optics or equivalent.
- You have acquired 3 to 5 years relevant working experience in the field of ADAS sensor calibration (LiDAR, Camera, Radar…).
- You understand that a researcher’s job is more than sitting behind a screen or running experiments in the labs. You have a strong affinity with industrial and operational processes and enjoy being on the field.
- You are willing to work in a team, in interaction with other researchers, technicians (bachelors and industrial engineers) and operators.
Your general skills
You are an allrounder and recognize yourself in the following:
- As a technical project leader, you are responsible for your activities and deliverables.
- Strong technical background and understanding of automotive sensor calibration or sensor alignment processes.
- Hands-on ability to design and implement prototypes, tailored test bench and experiments from early development phase to industrialization.
- Experience at Automotive Tier 1 or OEM is a plus.
- Efficient communicator in multicultural environments: presentations, reports, discussions, negotiations.
- Able to work transversally with various stakeholders.
- Project management, planning and organizational skills. Experience with automotive product development is a plus.
- Experience in optical sensor integration.
- Structured and rigorous.
- Multitasker, curious with a bias for action, perseverant and autonomous.
- Ability to understand, analyze and write IP documents.
- Willingness to travel.
- Fluent in English (essential). Knowledge of French is a plus.
