Eager to drive compliance and AML at a growing and leading entertainment player in Belgium?
This role will be a perfect fit for someone seeking to steer best in practise compliance processes and to have the opportunity for personal growth within a highly regulated whilst dynamic and fast growing industry.
Role
As Compliance Officer, your overall mission is to safeguard compliance with internal and external regulations and ethical rules, with a strong focus but not limited to AML.
In this role, you will report to the Head of Compliance and be part of a team of 5 Compliance experts with various specialties.
Main Responsibilities
Although there is a degree of freedom in shaping your role together with your Manager, as a Compliance Officer you can expect to be responsible to:
- Monitor regulatory developments in the gambling and AML industry and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
- Coordinate together with the compliance team the review, creation and implementation of policies and procedures that are established by the bodies that regulate our industry;
- Enforce compliance on all levels and aspects of our company, ensuring that our business adheres to legal and ethical standards and policies;
- Develop internal checks and controls to monitor potential compliance risks in our business operations;
- Identify key areas or specific instances of risk and provide appropriate advice to mitigate;
- Liaise with regulatory bodies on AML and related matters;
- Drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and quality in compliance processes in the entities
- Drive the further development of an internal control culture and raise awareness about continuous improvement, risk prevention by providing training and support to our business;
Profile
- Higher degree in economics, business management, policy, law or equivalent;
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a compliance and/or AML role. Ideally in the e-commerce, entertainment, gaming industry, B2C environment or in finance, banking, or insurance
- High level of integrity and discretion;
- Strong sense of urgency with excellent prioritization skills. Ability to work in a fast-changing corporate environment and regulatory landscape;
- Problem solver with analytical skills and an eye for details;
- Outstanding communicatorwho uses appropriate languages at all levels, both spoken and written in English. Dutch and or French proficiency is an asset;
- People-oriented pragmatist with a good sense of humour who can effectively persuade the business to comply with a demanding regulatory reality.
