Skills, knowledge, experience required:
  • Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 2 years of post-related experience;
  • OR a secondary educational qualification with 4 years of post-related experience;
  • Knowledge of monitoring and maintaining all required financial records for compliance and audit to all agreed requirements;
  • Knowledge of using appropriate procurement methods.
Duties/role:
  • Addressing all contractual matters relating to the competitive and sole source procurement process, including; drafting, coordinating and releasing solicitations, evaluating and analysing bids, discussing with bidders, and awarding contracts in accordance with the Agency’s procurement procedures;
  • Coordinating and liaising with contractors to ensure compliance and timely performance of contract tasks;
  • Performing contract administration tasks including processing changes and amendments;
  • Reviewing business cases (requirements, potential benefits and options) and determining appropriate procurement routes. e.g., open market or collaborative framework;
  • Investigating, resolving or escalating procurement related issues and problems;
  • Implementing supplier service improvement actions and programmes;
  • Supporting the local internal Customers with procurement related issues;
  • Providing high quality and timely contribution to ACQ and NCIA reporting;
  • Keeping line manager informed of problems and concerns;
  • Performing any other duties as may be required.
