Position Title

Data & Key User Lead

Job Overview

The data management is responsible for all aspects of data governance, including developing the overall data architecture strategy and creating and maintaining standards and best practices for data provisioning and data integration. The data manager acts as the subject matter expert within the organization and is able to liaise with technical staff, senior leaders, product development teams, and functional managers to ensure data goals and objectives are met. He will also function as key user lead and harmonize and standardize core system data architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures enterprise and site data is catalogued and structured for ease of use
  • Implements principles, policies, standards, and guidelines for data management inclusive of data access and sharing
  • Reviews all data/data repositories on a periodic basis and ensures data is properly classified according to use, sensitivity, and importance and is maintained according to the predefined data lifecycle
  • Audits security precautions to ensure adequate protection is in place
  • Provides formal authorization for data access according to data governance processes defined at point-of-use
  • Documents the full data lineage of enterprise and site data assets to ensure compliance with contracts and data regulations
  • Develops and adheres to data modeling standards and best practices
  • Supports the solution architect to provide best solutions to meet project data needs
  • Identifies opportunities for data alignment and re-use while minimizing data redundancy
  • Defines and supports ETL, data, business intelligence, advanced analytics architectures
  • Provides data architecture support and expertise to all major enterprise projects Ensure that data is managed in compliance with applicable quality, regulatory (Data Privacy, GxP, SOX, etc.) and cybersecurity requirements
  • As a Key user lead he also functions as a guidance for system owners and key users. He drives development and upskilling and handles communication with global functions.
  • The Data lead works with software, internet applications and overview architecture. They deal with performance issues, maintenance, system resources, and service and support internet sites. Data management professionals may design, develop, and implement data collection databases.
