Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Strong knowledge of demand planning process
  • Experience SAP, MRP, DynaSys, other planning tools
  • Knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools, forecasting processes in sales, marketing operations, finance, manufacturing and supply chain issues
  • Good communication and Team building skills
  • Detail oriented and extreme accuracy
  • Extensive spreadsheet analysis and firm understanding of statistical concepts as well as modeling concepts
  • 3-7 years related experience in Supply Chain with experience in Demand Planning
  • Knowledge of key inventory performance metrics, turns, margin contributions, etc.
  • Ability to lead cross-functionally
  • College degree (Business, engineering or related field), graduate degree preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP/ERP and Dynasys, or other software related to demand planning is preferred.
  • Experienced with other software packages including Windows, and Microsoft Office.

As a Demand Manager you will:

Forecast Coordination and Analysis

  • Coordinate forecasting cycle process to generate a 12-24 month rolling forecast
  • Takes the lead to coordinate with Commercial the 3 year history cleansing of forecast
  • Responsible for the on-going rolling monthly forecast cleansing process
  • Works with Commercial to understand the Life cycle (new product, customers, etc ) and to properly reflect these cycles in the DynaSys tool
  • Run Statistical forecast (including trends, seasonality, exceptional events, etc)
  • Assemble and analyze all data pertinent to creating the sales forecast (historical sales, market trends, seasonality, customer testing campaigns)
  • Works with Commercial team to understand the ABC classification system that could need to be implemented in order to properly manage the forecast
  • Establish and utilize best methods (statistical models and software tools) in creating forecasts
  • Continuously improves the forecasting techniques, method, and approach


Coordinate Demand Review meeting

  • Organize invitation and agenda
  • Prepare Demand review meeting presentation (figures, comments, KPI, etc)
  • Lead Demand Review Meeting and collaborate with key stakeholders to come to consensus forecast
  • Consolidate and analyze the demand forecasts and validate final “consensus” demand with the team (Commercial, Supply Chain and other members)
  • Relating and measuring the impact of forecast accuracy
  • Collect risks and opportunities; upside/downside
  • Compare consensus forecast towards BFR and Budget from a volume, pricing and revenue view


Support S&OP & Supply plan preparation


  • Make recommended adjustments to forecast and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends.
  • Run the Demand Sensing tool as necessary to assess sales trends with key customers and the overall trend of sales for the next four weeks.
  • Expand on the on-going Demand Sensing project with DataIku in order to automate the model
  • Attend the Monday order review meetings for all regions in order to assess the short term demand picture


Reporting & Other related duties

  • KPI + Follow-up of corrective actions
  • Forecast accuracy report
  • Designing and generating weekly and monthly statistical forecast reports
  • Monitor the current month demand versus the forecast
  • Alert S&OP manager when significant discrepancies between forecast/orders that could alter the supply/inventory management plan
  • Evolving and maintaining documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems.
  • Conduct current and future forecasting analysis, insuring forecasting processes and methods are followed.


Systems duties (DynaSys)

  • Key-user in DP module of DynaSys
  • Contribute to development of the tool
  • POC for SBS experts
  • Provide business process training to newcomers (not DynaSys training)
  • Liaise with CRM and BW analysts
  • Participate to DynaSys users meeting/call at Solvay group level
  • Support for Budget & BFR in Dynasys
  • Lead the workflow in DynaSys
  • Help for upload/download from xls (manual corrections)
  • Support users in this specific process (to be defined)


Projects

  • Participate in different ad-hoc duties as they relate to the Supply Chain Department
