You will be a part of a vibrant team, highly motivated and passionate about back end development within best coding practices. You will be part of a highly performing, cross functional, Agile team of experienced developers tasked with building large scale applications in microservices architecture. Our Agile teams work for the development INTRASOFT government products and for EU Institutions web applications.

Your main duties will be:

In support of the IT Financial Applications team, the Service Provider will supply a Consultant to provide the following services to:

• Support several VBA applications and Macros mainly for the Funding division
• Perform analysis, testing, documentation, reporting, change management
• Maintain customer relationships within the Funding division, manage the change process and communication
• Act as a change agent to help facilitate effective deployments/modifications to new and current practices
• Identify risks and liaise on issues related to changes
• Work with the clients subject matter experts to gather business requirements and any other relevant input required.
• MS Documents including the project VBA code
• Complete and reliable functional and technical documentation about the implemented functionality
• Test management
• Creation and execution of relevant test cases, demonstrating the expected behaviour in terms of requirements fulfilment and software quality
• Creation and execution of training, support, communications and other change management material as needed to support the change management process

JOB REQUIREMENTS

If you have

Knowledge and skills

• Develop new required features in the VBA applications/macros she/he maintain
• Follow up on deliverables with internal and external parties
• Prepare documents to support internal decision making, testing or training material
• Develop and execute an internal communications plan with support material
• Perform testing, change management documentation and otherwise support the deployment of the technology and hand over to production support
• Ensure all material is stored on the project SharePoint environment for audit purposes
• Other division related tasks as applicable such as organising and running meetings, developing agendas, preparing minutes, following up on open actions, identifying risk and issues with appropriate mitigating actions.
• Minimum 8 years of IT experience
• Minimum 5 years of direct experience with similar and relevant IT projects

It would also be a plus if you had

• Software development experience with VBA and MS Office Macros (Access & Excel)
• Good understanding of a modern IT architecture, desirable experience in Java
• Customer oriented change management communication skills
• Project Management skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks under competing deadlines and shifting priorities
• Bachelor degree in Information Technology, or equivalent experience
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience in providing reporting and other communications at a senior management level
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to document clear and complete business requirements
• Excellent written and spoken English
