About The Role

Job Description

The Engineering Leader Filling leads and manages engineering operations related to Filling, Setup (preparation area) - preparation of budget and planning, basic and detailed design, installation, Commissioning and Qualification

He manages a team of ~4 engineers and provides strong engineering support to all site entities and especially to the manufacturing teams so that they can achieve the current and long-term capacity targets.

In his field, he plans and manages capital and operational expenses, he helps in defining strategic direction including validation and is accountable for operational results & compliance.

How You Will Contribute
  • You are responsible for performance management and professional development of direct reports. Allocates resources, assigns priority and acts as a lead for Filling and surrounding equipment design, improvements, problem solving. Manages his cost center budget, projects with subcontractors, plan and hire resources.
  • You have to make sure that Filling and surrounding equipments are properly designed, fit for intended use & availability, operate in a safe and efficient manner, and are compliant with all regulatory requirements. His organisation is flexible enough to effectively respond to operational issues and related investigations. Validation protocols are drawn up & exectued in accordance to GMP rules. Audits are provided with the necessary support (first contact to the auditors).
  • You are accountable for development of technical subject matter expertise and provision of adequate engineering resources (internally and externally) to ensure system reliability, robustness and maximum availability. Ensures delivery of compliant and robust engineered solutions to improve reliability and efficiency of systems and equipment based upon best practices and operational periodic reviews.
  • You are accountable for the Filling &Setup CapEx definition, planning, execution, controls, and technical quality of deliverables for all site capital investment & operational projects. Ensure that project sub-teams are resourced appropriately to meet their goals and objectives and ensure that projects are on time and on budget.
  • You are accountable functional partner and decision maker on the process engineering governance team. Aligns on site strategy and goals, and identifies and escalates Engineering issues, and informs team on deliverables to ensure continuous improvement.
What You Bring To Takeda
  • Master Degree in Engineering
  • (10+) years of experience within biotech /pharmaceutical / manufacturing environment
  • (5+) years in Team Management
  • Proven track record of management/leadership effectiveness including engineering people development.
  • Aseptic Filling of vials, Isolator, RABS, Crimping technologies technical skills
  • Strong interest in New Technologies, Digital
  • Must have experience in project design/construction/commissioning in a regulated environment.
  • Budget management
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational and mentoring skills
  • Must be a team player prepared to lead, work in, embrace a team based culture.
  • Demonstrated experience in GEP, GMP and validation approach in pharmaceutical industries
  • Demonstrates experience in Team Management
  • Project Management experience in Filling in pharmaceutical environment
  • Fluent in French and English (business related)
