Facility and safety coordinator is responsible for good practice of all applicable HSSEQ policies in the organization. He will verify whether all sites operate in line with the applicable national legislation, customer requirements and applicable certificates.

Facility and safety coordinator supports the HSSEQ manager with analyses, reporting, certificate implementation, warehouse tours, internal and external audits.

Facility and safety coordinator is responsible for facility management of all sites, including: service, maintenance and cost management of building, MHE, machinery and racking, supplier management and site sustainability.

Facility and safety coordinator is responsible for in-house MHE training.

Key responsibilities:

• Owns the onboarding program in the warehouse.

• Performs MHE tests during onboarding process and in-house MHE training.

• Owns the training program in the warehouse.

• Performs daily warehouse gemba walks to monitor:

o correct use of MHE, working materials and other PBM’s

o good practice of all applicable HSSEQ policies, procedures and certificates (f.e. ISO, TAPA…)

o the effect of corrective and preventive actions

• Performs internal audits to verify correct execution of agreed procedures and to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Participates in external audits and implementation of new certificates.

• Advises on workplaces, materials, instructions in coordination with the line managers to reduce identified risks.

• Participates in analyses, near miss incident investigations and accidents with injuries, in coordination with the line managers.

• Cooperates in emergency procedures/first aid.

• Manages all facilities, MHE (all vehicles of all sites) machinery and racking in terms of service, maintenance and cost.

• Is primary contact person for facility related suppliers and landlord(s).

• Reports into the warehouse operations manager and supports the HSSEQ manager.

We are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher

• Minimum Prevention Advisor Level 3

• 3 years of experience in a similar job with general facility & MHE management

• VCA/BA4/BA5 attest is an advantage

• Knowledge about TAPA (TSR/FSR) and ISO certification is an advantage

• Strong technical skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and written (reporting) on different levels in the organization

• Strong trainer skills

• Internal auditor skills

• Budgeting skills

• Planning skills

• Ability to respond to emergency situations involving the facility/safety incidents

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Critical thinker

• Leadership: ability to develop strong relationship with stakeholders to positively influence

• Understands the overall nature of the business and the interdependencies between functions

• Continuous learning

• Fluent in Dutch, French and English (written and verbal).
