Job description
Strategic marketing leadership
- Develop and implement a global marketing strategy tailored to diverse customer segments (C+D and A+B), including e-commerce adoption, solution-selling, and cloud transition
- Shape marketing initiatives to drive growth across multiple revenue streams, including subscription-based cloud solutions and solution-oriented enterprise sales
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Direct and Indirect Sales, Channel/OEM, Professional Services) to align marketing tactics with overarching business objectives
E-commerce and channel marketing
- Oversee the marketing strategy for e-commerce platforms to drive adoption, optimize conversions, and grow revenue from transitioning C+D customers
- Develop channel marketing initiatives that empower partners and resellers, ensuring consistency in messaging and execution
- Optimize customer buying journeys across self-service e-commerce platforms and channel partner environments
Solution selling and cloud marketing
- Build marketing strategies and campaigns to support the transition from product sales to solution sales for A+B customers, emphasizing value-driven messaging and outcomes
- Develop targeted campaigns to support cloud migration efforts, driving awareness, engagement, and adoption of SaaS and subscription-based offerings
- Partner with Product Management and Product Marketing teams to craft go-to-market strategies for cloud solutions and ensure alignment with enterprise customer needs
Digital and analytics-driven marketing
- Leverage advanced analytics to optimize marketing performance across paid media, SEO, email, and social channels
- Implement data-driven personalization strategies to improve customer engagement, retention, and lifetime value (LTV)
- Create and manage dashboards for tracking ROI on marketing campaigns, with insights tailored to both e-commerce and solution-selling efforts
Complex product and solution marketing collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Product Marketing, Channel Marketing, and Classic Marketing teams to ensure alignment across marketing initiatives
- Manage marketing efforts for complex software solutions, ensuring campaigns effectively communicate product value, differentiators, and technical details to varying audiences
- Foster collaboration between teams to ensure cohesive execution of customer-centric campaigns across e-commerce, cloud, and solution sales
Brand positioning and thought leadership
- Lead efforts to position the brand as a global leader in cloud and solution-based additive manufacturing offerings while maintaining its reputation for robust on-premises solutions
- Develop messaging frameworks that resonate across diverse customer segments, from SMBs (C+D customers) to large enterprises (A+B customers)
- Champion thought leadership initiatives to establish credibility in key areas such as additive manufacturing, cloud innovation, e-commerce, and solution selling
Agile approach to marketing
- Foster a culture of experimentation and agility, testing new ideas, iterating campaigns, and adapting quickly to market feedback
- Implement modern marketing practices, such as growth hacking and account-based marketing (ABM), to drive measurable results
Team leadership and collaboration
- Lead and inspire a global marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation
- Collaborate with regional marketing teams to tailor campaigns for local markets while maintaining global consistency
- Partner with sales and product teams to support go-to-market strategies for new launches and offerings
Experience and skills
- Marketing leadership: Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior marketing role within a B2B software company with a global presence
- E-commerce expertise: Hands-on experience developing and managing e-commerce marketing strategies, including online sales funnels, conversion optimization, and analytics
- Solution selling and cloud expertise: Demonstrated success in marketing cloud-based solutions and enabling solution-oriented sales for enterprise customers
- Channel marketing: Strong understanding of channel marketing principles, including partner enablement and co-marketing strategies
- Digital marketing: Proficiency in modern digital marketing strategies (SEO, PPC, social media, email marketing, etc.) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, etc.)
- Data-driven decision making: Experience with marketing performance measurement tools and techniques, such as attribution modeling, A/B testing, and KPI tracking
- Agile marketing: Experience working in an agile, fast-paced software environment with a focus on experimentation and iteration
- Complex product and solution collaboration: Proven track record of managing marketing efforts for complex products and fostering collaboration between Product, Product Marketing, Channel Marketing, and Classic Marketing teams
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and online payment systems
- Experience with marketing automation tools (e.g., Marketo, Pardot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
- Knowledge of account-based marketing (ABM) and customer lifecycle marketing
- Strong understanding of SaaS business models and recurring revenue strategies
- Experience in migrating on-premises customers to cloud-based solutions, including crafting marketing campaigns tailored to the transition process
