Willis Towers Watson is looking for a Head of Operations – Director Client Service departmentwho will be responsible for managing the operations/ client service departments. The department consists of 5 teams. A dedicated claims management department, 2 client management departments (major and mid segment corporate clients) , a specialised team for fleet management and a team for personal lines.

Implicated in operations management of our UK Branch (Brexit solution)

Responsible for translating and embedding all compliance requirements in our day to day processes

SPOC for the technology department within WTW

The Role

  • Providing day to day excellent client service & providing hands on support were needed in the different operations departments.
  • People management: 4 direct reports- global team 50 fte – 3 offices in Belgium
  • Continuous improvement and innovation: with a strong operational mindset to the business, introduce changes to the structure and process to drive better operational and financial efficiency.
  • Member of the Belgian Management team – support country manager from general topics (projects), technology and operations management perspectives.
  • Member of the employer representation in the Workers Council.
  • Manage contacts with software suppliers and subcontractors
  • Responsible for enterprise risk management
  • Compliance: responsible for the business translation of all compliance requirements + responsible for the adherence to the different policies (audit)
  • Technology: the operations department is the biggest client of the WTW technology department, be the advocate for the local organisation with the WTW technology dept.
  • Support client development/ client retention/ visit clients
  • Working together with the other internal departments to create a winning team and provide a compelling client experience.
  • Maintaining relations with the different contact persons within the insurance companies

The Requirements

  • Experienced manager in the insurance industry
  • At least 10 years people management experience
  • Successful experience with project management and change management.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a dedication to quality and customer service
  • Enthusiasm, perseverance and driven to succeed
  • Excellent communicator –Dutch, French and English
  • Team player capable of managing multiple stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and quality – ’right first time’ mentality
  • IT & systems literate (Analytical Broker)
  • Entrepreneurial skills to develop innovation and ideas – A problem solving mindset
