Human Resources Business Partner

The Human Resources Business Partner challenge in a few words

Averna is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner for our West European Region to support our team in all HR matters including recruitment and international mobility. Located in Hasselt Belgium, or Arnhem Netherlands office, there is a total of over 60 employees in the region. The Human Resources Business Partner will be part of a dynamic global HR team and will report to the Director, Culture & Talent located in Montreal, Canada.

We are looking for the perfect candidate who will have a positive impact on the employee experience and talent in Western Europe through coaching of our leaders and the implementation and execution of HR programs and initiatives. Your contribution in this role

Averna Talent

  • Ensures the understanding and execution of HR programs (performance management, recognition, integration and development);
  • Manages and ensures the effectiveness of HR operations on a daily basis;
  • Acts as a coach to managers in all of their activities related to the management of human resources while ensuring adherence to HR policies and labor laws;
  • First point of contact for our employees questions;
  • Collaborate with the finance department and external partners for all programs and changes impacting payroll, contracts, pension plan and company cars, etc.;
  • Assesses organizational climate and proposes and coordinates initiatives to promote communication and feedback as well as employee retention;
  • Participates in the preparation and execution of internal mobility such as work permits, visas, etc.;
  • Acts as Data Privacy Officer (DPO) pursuant to GDPR;
  • Manages compliance exercises and in collaboration with governmental parties;
  • Participates in the development of talent management programs and ensure the implementation within the company;
  • Lead the annual renewal of medical and life insurance benefit plans and control of disability files;
  • Has a key role in communicating and building ties with employees;
  • Develops and implements strategies to promote employee retention;
  • Coordinate initiatives that impact work environment and employee satisfaction;
  • Administrative tasks as needed.

Recruitment

  • Take charge of the recruitment process, from start to finish, for the positions under your responsibility;
  • Understand the local business reality and deploy the appropriate strategies;
  • Establish close links with managers, meeting their needs and communicating progress;
  • Support and coach managers on networking and candidate experience best practices;
  • Become an ambassador and build strong relationships with our growing pool of applicants;
  • Keep abreast of new attraction trends and innovative sourcing techniques;
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on employer brand initiatives.

The ideal candidatein a few words

  • Experienced: 5-8 years of experience in many facets of human resources management in a multinational company;
  • Proficient: Strong knowledge of Belgium and Netherland labor laws, ability to foster relationship, autonomous, pragmatic, good judgment, proactive, ease of adaptation to constant changes typical of a growing company;
  • Multilingual: Dutch and English, written and spoken;
  • Assets: Experience in the high-tech sector, international mobility knowledge is an asset.

You are also good at managing processes. Generally, you are action-oriented, creative, have good peer relationships, manage uncertainty and ambiguity, with good self-knowledge abilities.
