Our client is seeking a Junior Accountant to join the finance team of a well-established insurance company. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for various accounting tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping, financial controls, tax filing, and coordination of cash management. - Maintain accurate record-keeping and reconcile inter-system accounts efficiently.
- Ensure financial controls are implemented and followed.
- Prepare expense reports and collaborate with tax specialists for tax filing (CIT, VAT, IPT, Wage tax).
- Assist in investment accounting.
- Coordinate cash management activities when necessary.
- Prepare audit files and support external audits.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to their implementation.
- Handle payments processes and perform bank reconciliations.
- Support the accounts payable process.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Proficiency in either French or Dutch, along with excellent English language skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel.
