BIM was the first company in the world to implement a fully operational Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (ECTN) application that allows forwarders from all over the world to exchange information about shipments with the respective authorities.
In this regard, we have developed a user-friendly and progressive online ECTN platform that is constantly evolving to meet the ever-changing needs of the industry and our customers (the shippers councils).
As part of its further development, BIM e-Solutions has recently launched a new project called "Spinnaker". Project Spinnaker is an advanced "deep dive" into the ECTN process and its data. It is a collaboration between BIM e-Solutions and our IT partner Bagaar. Together we research and identify opportunities and insights to not only improve our services, but also to connect and engage stakeholders. Furthermore, this project aims to increase the integrity of ECTN data.
BIM e-Solutions has offices in Luxembourg (LUX) and Antwerp (BE). The company consists of a small team of passionate individuals who all have a role adapted to their own talents and interests. The team members complement each other and value teamwork and initiative. BIM e-Solutions has a modern structure in which each role has its own responsibilities.

Profiel:
To further complement the BIM e-Solutions team, we are looking for
a communicative and driven operations manager, preferably with at least 3 years of experience in the maritime or logistics sector.

With your knowledge and understanding of maritime shipping processes, customs and the actors involved, you contribute to optimising processes within the company, as well as for our stakeholders. Furthermore, you take the initiative to find and implement sustainable solutions for recurring problems, and you assist in the development of new functionalities for our ECTN platform. Of course, you are also part of our ambitious Project Spinnaker.

You are the pivot of all operational matters within BIM e-Solutions. You ensure that the questions of agents and customers are answered and followed up in a consistent manner. To do so, you work closely together with the account managers and the responsible of the agent network. Difficult cases are investigated and discussed during the weekly operations meetings. You ensure a professional communication both internally and externally.
As BIM e-Solutions works for customers in Africa and users all over the world, a
good knowledge of French and English (both written and spoken) is a must. Team meetings will always be held in English.
