Hanover is looking for a resourceful and motivated Intern, with a specialist interest in chemicals, to join our Brussels Advocacy team. We offer a six-month internship with a possibility to extend, great learning opportunities within a collaborative, dynamic and international team.

The successful candidate will be supporting the team in implementing advocacy and communications campaigns focused on EU chemical policies.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Monitor legislative developments
  • Undertake targeted research and policy analysis
  • Support with communications, social media campaigns and event organisation

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of the EU institutions and the EU decision-making process. Previous internship experience in the EU institutions/Trade Association is an asset
  • Knowledge and experience on EU chemical policies is strongly preferred
  • Self-motivated team player
  • Quick-learner enjoying a fast-paced working environment
  • Good digital skills (e.g. Microsoft office and/or Adobe InDesign)
  • Excellent oral and written English is essential. Knowledge in other European languages, especially French or German is an asset
  • Relevant degree, preferably in law, EU studies or political science

The internship is for 6-months with potential to extend. The working mode is hybrid (3 days office work/2 days from home) when regulations allow. The team is looking for the successful applicant to start ASAP.
