Introduction:

Due to a promotion in our team, we are looking for a new high potential Sales Engineer to join our sales department.

As our Sales Engineer responsible, you will organize, plan and manage the sales aspects of all assigned accounts and markets in Belgium in order to optimize sales gross and profit. This with a focus on end user sales.

This position will focus on our filter solutions for Industrial Compressed Air and Gasses.

The position is located in Leuven but provides freedom to create your own planning to visit clients and provides the option of working 3 days a week from home.

Key Responsibilities:

This position is an exciting role with lots of interaction where you will establish and build contacts with:
  • External customers like End users, OEM/Key accounts and Resellers.
  • Internal coworkers such as Managers, Customer Service, Engineering and Service departments.

You will ensure:
  • That sales and gross profit goals are achieved, through the activities of managing, promoting and selling, within the commercial policies of the company.
  • Customer satisfaction through periodic contact, swiftly and professional reaction to requests and complaints, following up of quotations and leads, in order to be the leaders on the market and to lock out the competition.
  • Donaldson presence on the market area through exploring and communicating new opportunities, in order to create leads for Managers and contribute widening the team knowledge of applications on the market.
  • Accurate and timely reporting on activities, issues and forecast

Profile:

Background / Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical, economical and/or commercial field.
  • A first commercial B2B experience in the industrial or technical sector
  • Knowledge off the industrial landscape in Belgium.
  • Interest on new energies like Hydrogen.
  • Liking to handle a big variety of products in Compressed Air Filtration.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English a MUST (French is a plus)

  • Good communication skills
  • Great people skills
  • Great customer care and having an understanding of many different applications “Every customer is different”
  • IT, PC and Computer skills.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Understanding of the company’s business strategies.
  • Profound understanding of customer satisfaction and customer relationships.
  • Understanding of the competitiveness of a proposed solution and price
  • Understanding of the profitability of a project.
