Role and responsibilities:

• Deploy, install, and configure: Implement Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket following best practices and security policies.
• Enhance functionality: Integrate necessary plugins, add-ons, and business requirements.
• System administration: Perform routine tasks, manage users, control access, and configure permissions using NCSC processes and IT Service Management tools.
• Version management: Raise, track, and implement change requests for new product versions.
• Support and maintenance: Interface with Atlassian support for bug reports and feature requests, monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations.
• Backup and recovery: Conduct regular backups with the assistance of the backup team and implement disaster recovery procedures.
• Security: Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with the client’s directives, staying updated with patches and vulnerabilities.
• User support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting, and develop resources to educate users on best practices.
• Collaboration: Work with other teams to integrate Atlassian tools with existing systems and customize workflows, forms, and dashboards.
• Continuous improvement: Stay informed about the latest Atlassian features and recommend new tools or configurations to enhance productivity and collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Education: A university degree in a technical subject with substantial IT content or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience: Proven experience as a System Administrator with extensive knowledge of Atlassian JIRA and/or Confluence.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of networking, security principles, and best practices.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and customization.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills to convey technical information clearly.
• Experience interfacing with IT Service Management.

Clearance: Security Clearance required

Desirable:

• In-depth knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
