DEME is a global solutions provider in a challenging and rapidly changing world. Just like the rest of the company, our IT department needs to adapt to that changing world. We are looking for someone to support our ships, sites and offices abroad in their IT needs.

Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the design, configuration and support of our IT installations worldwide (sites, offices, ships,…).
  • You provide support with focus on network & switches as a specialist.
  • You have Experience of Windows servers, active directory, virtualization, hardware,…
  • You provide, for our vessels and due to the specific setup, support on all levels.
  • For our remote sites and offices you operate as an escalation path for the internal helpdesk. Quick response and quality are both key in this process.
  • You’re able, after the necessary internal training, to give a design solution for our remote locations and ships. If necessary you follow-up the installation on site.
  • Working together with the team concerning different projects, for example server infrastructure renewal, migration to cloud based solutions,…

Your profile

  • You minimum have a Bachelor’s degree in ICT or equivalent by experience.
  • You have experience with virtualization, storage TCP/IP, Networking & Switching, Firewalls & Security, Windows Server environments & Active Directory Powershell scripting.
  • You are hands-on, analytical, inquisitive, result and client driven.
  • You can set priorities and have a flexible attitude.
  • You are a team player but can work autonomously.
  • You can take initiative and have good communicative skills.
  • Proficiency in Dutch is highly desirable for this role.
  • You have a background in and a passion for IT.
  • You are willing to travel to foreign sites/vessels (once every 3 months).
