Function
As a Tax Specialist you will be part of the corporate finance team. Reporting to the Group Tax Director.
Key Responsibilities

Indirect tax filings: manage the VAT reporting and other administrative returns (such as Intrastat, etc.) for the main entity in Belgium, including a limited number of foreign VAT-registrations; Supervise the VAT reporting of group entities in different European countries, in close collaboration with the accounting team
Direct tax reporting: assist in timely fulfilling the direct tax compliance for several entities in Belgium
Tax audits: assist during preparation and coordination of tax audits and partner-up with colleagues across the organization to successfully defend filing positions
Transfer Pricing: assist in preparing transfer pricing documentation and monitoring the compliance with Barco tax policies worldwide
ERP set-up and maintenance: maintain the tax functionality in Barco’s ERP systems and support (any) future ERP rollouts in close collaboration with the IT department
Legislative activities: monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory tax developments relevant to Barco’s business operations and follow-up on implementation thereof in close collaboration with the respective finance teams
Business support activities: support the business in questions on VAT, invoicing and ERP related questions

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in tax and accounting or similar through experience
Some relevant experience in indirect tax compliance or working in the accounting department of a multinational company is an asset
Good analytical skills, system-savvy with a can-do mentality
Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbal and written
Strong interpersonal skills, team player, pro-active and attention to detail
